In short:
- You can play without an account. Your progress stays on your phone.
- Ads come from Google AdMob, which asks for your consent where the law requires it.
- If you sign in with Google or Apple, we keep an account id from them and your nickname. We never keep your e-mail address.
- You can delete your account in the game at any time: Options › Delete account.
Who we are
Gummy Screws 3D (Android package com.scintlabs.gummyscrews3d) is a game made by Scint Labs. For any question about your data, write to scintlabs@gmail.com.
What stays on your phone
Stages, coins, skills, missions, achievements, the Star Chest, your progress and your settings are kept on your phone. We do not receive them unless you sign in (see below). The daily reminder is a notification scheduled on your phone; nothing is sent to us for it.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
The game shows a banner and optional rewarded videos from Google AdMob. To do this, Google's software in the app may collect your device's advertising ID, device and app information and your IP address.
- Where the law asks for it, Google's consent message appears before ads are personalised. You can change your choice at any time in Options › Privacy options.
- On iPhone and iPad, the advertising ID is used only if you allow it when the game asks (App Tracking Transparency).
- Google handles this data under its own policies: How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
Your account and online features
Some features, such as Battle and keeping your progress online, need an account. You sign in with Google or Apple; we never see your password. When you do:
- Provider id. Google or Apple sends us a signed token. We check it and keep only the stable user id that Google or Apple gives your account. The token may also carry your name and e-mail if you allow it, but we do not keep your e-mail.
- Nickname. On your first sign-in the game suggests your first name; you can change it before you confirm. Nicknames are filtered, and they are the only thing other players see in Battle and in the ranking.
- Progress. A copy of your game progress, so it comes back on a new phone.
- Battle results. Your matches (opponent's nickname, result, the time measured by our server) and your monthly wins for the ranking. The ranking shows nicknames only, never ids or e-mails.
- Sessions. A sign-in session for each device, so you stay signed in.
- Security. Our server uses your IP address to limit how many requests can be made (to stop abuse) and keeps error logs only.
Where your data is kept
Your account, progress and Battle data are kept on our game server, run on Cloudflare (Workers and the D1 database) in Western Europe. Ads data is handled by Google; sign-in is handled by Google or Apple.
We do not sell your data. We share it only with the companies that run these parts of the game for us: Google (ads and sign-in), Apple (sign-in) and Cloudflare (our server). If you buy something in the game, the payment is handled by Google Play or the App Store; we never see your payment details.
How long we keep it
| Data | Where | Kept until |
|---|---|---|
| Progress and settings | Your phone; your account’s copy on our server | 30 days after “Delete account” |
| Account: provider id and nickname (no e-mail) | Our server (Cloudflare, Western Europe) | 30 days after “Delete account”, plus up to 7 days in the database’s backups |
| Battle matches | Our server | 30 days |
| Monthly ranking | Our server | Until the account is deleted |
| Ads data | Under Google's policies |
Deleting your account
In the game, go to Options › Delete account and confirm. You are signed out on every device at once, you leave the Battle queue and you are hidden from the ranking.
- We keep the account for 30 days in case you change your mind: sign in again within those 30 days and everything comes back.
- After 30 days, our daily clean-up deletes your account, sign-ins, sessions, progress and ranking. Past matches stay only as “deleted”, with no link to you, until they are removed.
- Deleted data can stay up to 7 more days in the database’s backups.
- You can also ask by e-mail. See Delete your account.
Uninstalling the game removes the data kept on your phone.
Children
Gummy Screws 3D is meant for players aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you think a child has given us data, write to scintlabs@gmail.com and we will delete it.
Your choices and rights
You can change your ad choices in Options › Privacy options and delete your account in the game. You can also write to us to ask for a copy of your data, to correct it or to delete it. Depending on where you live, local law (for example the GDPR in Europe or the LGPD in Brazil) may give you more rights.
